The Siren is a contribution-based, intersectional feminist magazine that stands in solidarity with people of all genders and walks of life. We believe through self-expression, art and love that we have the power to amplify the voices of others.

FALL 2025 THEME: DUALITIES

Last year, we explored our inner child. This year, we’re exploring a different yet similar tension; growing up means learning to live between who we were and who we are becoming. In this issue, we’re looking at spectrums. We’re investigating contradictions, harmony, everything in between, as well as those that lie outside. We’re examining juxtapositions: radical joy and rightful rage, tension and release, fear and hope, retribution and justice.

We invite you to explore your identities and the dualities they embody: what are the spectrums we exist between? What about our existence outside of the spectrum? What are the stories that made you, and what are the stories you defy? Explore dual and mixed emotions with us as we ask ourselves how we can find order in chaos, or, conversely, embrace the messy and ambiguous when we feel constrained.
