SIREN MAGAZINEs

While the printed copies of The Siren sit in their boxes patiently waiting to be passed out, enjoy digital versions of our zine here and learn more about each issue below.

The Siren is a contribution-based, intersectional feminist magazine that stands in solidarity with people of all genders and walks of life. We believe through self-expression, art and love that we have the power to amplify the voices of others.

Coming soon: ‘The BUTTERFLY EFFECT issue’

The smallest acts of kindness, resistance, and self-love, although often unnoticed, can be the most powerful pieces in each of our stories. The Butterfly Effect Issue of The Siren seeks to unearth the unseen and embrace the little moments to illuminate the interconnectedness of our identities, lived experiences, shared challenges, and shared joys. Tell us about the ways your communities and those you love have transformed you. Tell us about the ripples of change that have shaped your life. The smallest moments and actions can be significant catalysts for something much bigger. Unfurl your wings, and take us through the invisible strings of your journeys. How has the butterfly effect shown up in your life?

THE UPRISING ISSUE

The Siren Magazine shares expressions of feminism and activism to reflect the social uprisings of 2020. Our contributors shared emotional and raw expressions of how they are living through systematic oppression and racism.

THE SEX EDUCATION & SELF-CARE ISSUE

Sex Education and self-care are a personal right. It's an act of self-love to take care of our bodies, and everyone deserves a truthful and non-judgmental education on sex. Feel free to read and enjoy a collection of expressions and information from our contributors as well as a "question & answer" article on Sex Education from The Women's Center Director who is a comprehensive Sex Educator.

THE BODY POSITIVITY ISSUe

Feminism is learning how to radically love yourself.

THE ALLYSHIP ISSUE

Allyship calls on dominant identities to take responsibility for educating themselves on privilege, and recognize how experiences and identities impact the way we navigate through life.
